Ann Carpenter

Ann CarpenterAnn Carpenter is an accomplished professional with over forty years of national and international mineral development experience, including working at senior leadership levels. She has diversified worldwide mineral development experience in corporate development, mergers and acquisitions, property and corporate valuation, strategic planning and implementation, and project financing.  A particular focus for Ann is integrated project management—engineering-permitting-community engagement—leading to on time-budget project development both here in the US as well as overseas. Ann has integrated sustainable development initiatives within her consulting practice since 2001.

Ann is an experienced Director with over twenty years of experience serving on public, private, non-profit, trade association, and advisory boards and councils, bringing both an applied and technical understanding of global mineral development challenges. She maintains leadership roles in various professional associations, as well as non-profit organizations and foundations.

She has been active in the development of policies and regulations in the U.S. Congress regarding domestic mineral resource development; permitting and land-use policies; and sustainable development. Ann has been active in the Women’s Mining Coalition (WMC) since 1994 and served in leadership roles including past Vice President and President. She is currently serving as a member of the WMC Advisory Committee.

Ann has a B.S. in Geology from Montana State University-Bozeman, with additional advanced studies completed at Mackay School of Mines. She is Chair of University of Nevada Reno College of Science Advisory Council, having served on that council since 2010.
